Bayer, the manufacturer of popular
fourth-generation birth control pill Yaz, are facing a slew of lawsuits that
have been plaguing them for years already. Yaz
lawsuit allege that Yaz has caused a number of patients serious pain,
emotional trauma, and other complications that could last for the rest of their
lives. Yaz has been linked to a number of serious medical conditions, some of
them fatal, many of which relate in some way to blood clots forming and
possibly breaking off from the vein in which they were formed.
Yaz pulmonary embolism is one of the most
serious conditions represented by Yaz lawsuits—and one of the most common. Other
side effects alleged in lawsuits include heart arrhythmia, Yaz Stroke,
blood clots like deep vein thrombosis, and Yaz gallbladder disease. It
occurs when a blood clot forms in an extremity such as the leg, then breaks off
and travels through the bloodstream to block one of the main arteries in the
lung.
This condition can manifest with symptoms such as sudden and sometimes bloody cough, pain, and shortness of breath. Patients who experience these symptoms need to seek medical care as quickly as possible, because if this condition is left untreated it could quickly become fatal. Yaz side effects are extremely dangerous and have even proven to be fatal in a number of cases.

Plaintiffs file suit in order to gain
damages. The damages most are looking to gain from Bayer involve negligence,
breach of warranty, fraud, unjust enrichment, and product liability. They are
also looking for money that will help cover medical bills and attorneys fees,
along with other financial losses associated with their side effects. Some
families have filed wrongful death lawsuits which will likely ask for funds to
cover bereavement costs if their relative or loved one has passed away due to
Yaz side effects.
In almost every case, there is the assertion
that Bayer did not do enough to warn medical practitioners and patients of the
potential for serious side effects associated with Yaz. Although blood clots
were mentioned on its original warning label, there was nothing regarding more
serious conditions such as pulmonary embolism.
